Hippity-Hoppity...

Another holiday is near, which means another reason to humiliate, I mean dress up our child. I love to do this as you know. I've had the bunny ears since Valentine's Day, so the anticipation finally got the best of me or maybe it was boredom. Anyway, Claire and I had a little photoshoot, nothing racy, just clean, fun, diaper-loving, ear-toting photos. She is so much fun. Claire actually started rolling the eggs away from herself and watched in amazement as they left her little domain. It was cute.

I wonder what the poor kid is thinking with that uncomfortable headband on her! haha lol. Probably get it off me! But the eggs distracted her! haha lol. I am kidding. But she does look absolutely adorable! I can't wait to see you in Las Vegas!

She is too cute. I'll have to borrow the ears next year for Ethan, somehow I don't think he'd get it this year!

So Kara..nice background change. Just thought I would include a few slight improvements or modifications that would set this blog apart from the rest. #1: Center the text and pictures--such a distraction with the left alignment. #2: More frequent entries--life is constantly changing and we are missing many moments in Claire's precious life #3: Last one--but perhaps most importantly...Declare me the winner of the most dedicated commentor! I know you will do the right thing!

P.S. I wanted to let you all know as of today--my new savings account has earned $8.23 interest...now that's progress baby!!!

Love ya,
Jessica

Jessica, o unknowledgable one....I don't expect you to know this since you don't have a blog of your own, but the templates (spacing/alignment, etc.) is not changable. The second request could be done, but I like to build the suspense. I suppose I could have photographed the poopy diaper I just changed or the snot that is dripping down her nose as we speak. Those both would make lovely entries!! As for the competition, you and Erin are definitely in the lead with no close competition for third. I thought Lauren may jump into the race, but time will tell. The competition is still open. By the way, I see the date did not happen as you are writing on my blog at 10:00. Interesting....

Sweetness Overload

So, we are still roughing it in our amazingly, wonderfully fabulous, new house. That means, air mattresses in our living room. Fun. The girls love it, Chris and I not so much ;) Anyway, the close proximity means Chris and I get to eavesdrop on some very tender moments. They seriously bring tears to my eyes. How did we get so lucky to have them as our children??? Here's one example. Claire--"Mya, can we snuggle?" Mya--"sure." Claire--"don't let go." Mya--"No, I'll just wait until you are sleeping." Claire--"No, you wait until the middle of the night." Mya--"Okay, I'll wait until the middle of the night." Then we hear lips smacking. So cute. I won't share the meltdown that occured moments before this sweetness ;) Life isn't always rosey, now is it? Ha! In other news..we get internet today and our furniture/things tomorrow! That means 1 more night of "roughing it!" Yippee!

0.0

Yes, indeeedy do. 0.0 is exactly the amount of weight I lost this week. Irritating! Here's the breakdown: number of times I cheated on my diet--ZERO! number of times I worked out--FIVE!! (running, no less). Now that is a mean, mean slap in the face. After I picked myself off the floor and resisted the urge to throw the scale through my window, I've come to realize that it is time to call in the big guns. There will be no messing around. Through a very valuable (HA!--sense the sarcasm) inservice this year, I've learned that I am "Green," meaning logical, research based, problem solver, mathmatical thinker. I am applying the same thought and strategy to my 'get fit' adventure. There will be no relying on the treadmill to tell me how much I've burned. That thing lies, LIES, LIES!! Take for example, the fact that each time I worked out, I burned at least 300 calories--most often 350, my pulse was around 87 (which is pretty much a near death resting ...

Claire Crawling

Claire is finally crawling. We saw her move forward a bit on Saturday for the first time, but she didn't last long enough to capture it on video. She finally crawled for a bit longer today. She isn't going very far, but is great to have achieved this incredible milestone. Now Harvest better watch out!
