Constant Beginnings

 I hate coconut, but it was fun seeing they crack these babies open and put straws inside to drink the milk. They actually used a machety. Until this trip, I had never seen an actual coconut growing on a tree. It was pretty neat as they were all over as were macadamia nuts and mangos.  Waiting for our food. My friend suggested we try the foodstand with the longest line. She claimed they were the best and she was right!   We dined on barbeque, chicken, corn, rice, pancit and banana lumpia. It was all delicious. Our girls especially loved the pancit, lumpia and chicken. We shared one meal, ate alot of food and paid only $12. Pretty great deal. On Wednesday night we ventured to the Chamorro Village. It was filled with vendors selling arts/crafts type products, food and live music with dancing. It was a busy, and fun place. Guam is full of trendy little shops and restaurants. Here is Planet Hollywood, but they also have Hooters, California Pizza Kitchen, Friday's, and Chili's. The shops reminded me alot of Vegas--Louis Vuiton, Chanel, etc. This was happy little Mya BEFORE we entered the dark tunnel of the aquarium. She  loved seeing the fish in the gigantic tank. Claire outside the aquarium. It would have been so much easier if they'd have cooperated and stood side by side ;) A turtle. Mya cuteness. Claire cuteness. Again, I am mesmerized by those eyes. I think the idea of being surrounded by water/fish kind of freaked her out (it was a tunnel). This was one huge fish. I am not sure how old it is, but he looked big and nasty. Mya especially loved watching the water rush over her legs. Claire making a "mudpie." Her teacher at school, Ms. Valene grew up on Guam, so she was prepping her for the trip telling her all the great things she'd see. She was also teaching her "Haffa Adai," which means "hello." The resort had 5 hammocks, which Mya and Claire both enjoyed "swinging." I guess they serve different purposes for each person. Daddy and Mya attempting the small water slide. Aren't they so cute? Claire gets so excited when she spots a "little potty."  Our trip to Guam began on a not-so-good, but comical note. I've said it before, but my words don't appropriately convey the level of idolization our kiddos experience in and around Korea. They are literally picked up, touched, waved to, hugged by strangers on a daily basis. It is crazy. Mya is truly a product of this environment and loves each and every bit of contact.
