Mya turned two on the 15th of May, but we had no presents to offer. In my defense, I did order the presents well over a week before her big day, but Amazon did not come through with the delivery. Thankfully, Mya is too young to know the difference or to care. We celebrated her birthday on Saturday. On aside, I am not a believer in birthday parties with friends until the child is older. Our children don't want for anything and certainly don't need. We don't go big with spending for any holiday/birthday and never have. I am pretty proud of that. Each child gets one or two presents totaling a set dollar amount. I must say, finding the perfect gift for Mya has been pretty difficult. I thought and thought, searched and searched, until--I came across the plasmacar. It received rave reviews, looked great for children of all ages and looked like so much fun! I also found some cute little Dora, Diego and Boots dolls as Mya is a huge fan. She also got a Dora backpack that she loves dearly. Claire and I made the cake Saturday morning. It wasn't the cutest looking thing, but it was delicious. The birthday was a hit. Mya loved being sung to and enjoyed blowing out the candle. We actually had to do it twice because I didn't have the flash turned on to take pictures. She thought two times wasn't nearly enough, requesting another. She was darling. So excited about what lied under all that paper. The remainder of the day looked something like this...

If we are heading back to the States, we will most likely be leaving early June so that we can enjoy a full summer with family and have time to get settled before Claire begins school. We caught wind today of what could be our next assignment. Although it is far from official word, all of a sudden my tummy is filled with butterflies. I had the privilege of teaching a little first grade girl who was one of a set of quadruplets. They (she and her sisters) are the most delightful little girls. They are well behaved and truly beautiful inside and out. Anyway, their family was due to PCS (military move) in December. I teased her that I was going to follow her and live down the road. While they were house hunting, I continually asked if there was a neighboring house for me. She'd laugh and giggle, not really sure if I was serious or not. Her Mom thought
