mya and claire

I have definitely dropped the ball on this blogging thing. I was so good with claire, posting weekly and sometimes daily all the things that she was doing, eating and her sleeping patterns. Aiy, yaiy, yaiy. Mya is a great baby. She sleeps for 3-4 hours at a time, sometimes even 5 hours. She basically wakes to eat and falls back to sleep, although her time awake is increasing each day. Mya hardly fusses and rarely cries. However, that being said, when she wants something, she makes it known. I think she may get that quality from me. hmmm. She loves to be swaddled, but doesn't need to be in order to sleep. She is a pretty laid back kiddo and tolerates alot of helping from her big sister, Claire. Claire is the paci police and is constantly trying to shove the paci in Mya's mouth or smother her with kisses. Mya is loved, no doubt about it. We've changed bottles once again and reverted to using the medela special feeder bottle we had when Claire was born. It is working much better and Mya tolerates the flow much more easily. I can't believe my littlest girl is already 3 weeks old today. Times seems to pass even more quickly with two.

Hi you guys, just went through the site. What a beautiful baby. Both children are looking very well. I can't wait to come up and see you guys.
Kara, I think Mya looks alot like you.
I am glad you are doing so well getting into the habit of things. You do have a handful with the babys & the dog, but I think you both are enjoying the adventure of it all.

4 months

We are potentially down to our last four months in Korea. I say "potentially" because it rests solely on where we are going. If we are heading back to the States, we will most likely be leaving early June so that we can enjoy a full summer with family and have time to get settled before Claire begins school. We caught wind today of what could be our next assignment. Although it is far from official word, all of a sudden my tummy is filled with butterflies. I had the privilege of teaching a little first grade girl who was one of a set of quadruplets. They (she and her sisters) are the most delightful little girls. They are well behaved and truly beautiful inside and out. Anyway, their family was due to PCS (military move) in December. I teased her that I was going to follow her and live down the road. While they were house hunting, I continually asked if there was a neighboring house for me. She'd laugh and giggle, not really sure if I was serious or not. Her Mom thought

A post

You wanted it, you asked for it, so here it is. A post. Hopefully this post will satisfy all your desires. I am not writing about the apple of my eye, Claire, but of the other apple of my eye--reality tv. I love it! Right now I am getting my fill of Big Brother. I have even lured Chris into my dark place. He mostly watched last season because Dick was such a jerk, but Chris is hooked. He's a dedicated viewer once again this season. Sadly, he was a fan of Matty who was kicked off a few weeks ago. I don't think I have a favorite. I find them all to be so obnoxious, yet I watch. Go figure. I obviously need some more excitement in my life. Girls who wear butt showing shorts, screaming matches, verbal abuse, crazy eyes, back stabbing, boys running around in their colored tighty whiteys (if tighty whiteys are colored, are they still called tighty whiteys?)---all in one episode! It is a gold mine. My second can't miss show is Housewives of Orange County or New York City. I really

Progress

I used to be prompt about scrapbooking in Claire's album. After seeing my sister's pictures piled up three children later, I was determined not to have the same fate. I am sure it is difficult for some of you to believe, but since Claire has been born, my free time has been limited. Really, it has. So, our pictures are finding their way into piles too--5 to be exact. However, I am thrilled to say that I finished (ok, they aren't completely finished, but nearly. I only have journaling to do.) six pages. Yes, that's right, I said SIX!! It was a major accomplishment. Here they are for your viewing pleasure. Only 5 more months left to get through....any volunteers? Jessica???
