She's A Contender!

We had another appointment this week, which included an ultrasound, glucose screening and doctor visit. No news on the glucose screening, but the ultrasound went well. Chris asked for confirmation, yet again, that we were in fact having a girl?!! It was confirmed--for the 3rd time. Hopefully he is convinced and satisfied with those odds. Her heartbeat was strong-149 bpm . Everything else was positive too. She did have some huge lips. I am talking HUGE. Chris thinks I may have some explaining to do after the delivery. Maybe Angelina Jolie is really her mother? She could be a contender for a future heavyweight belt. She is in the 86 th percentile for weight, weighing in at 1 lb. 14 oz. I am glad to hear that my weight gain is attributed to her, at least some (only 1 lb.?!!). Otherwise, everything is great. I feel good, she looks good and we are eagerly awaiting her arrival. The list dwindles from 7 to 3!!!

Our "to-do" list is winding down. We finished our bedroom. The trim is officially finished. Yay!!! It looks lovely. All the rooms have been repainted. I ordered the bedding for the nursery from Pottery Barn. If you'd like to take a look on-line, it is called "Katie." We received the bumper this week, so we can begin searching for paint. I can't decide if I want to paint it a very soft, lime green or a deeper green tone. Last weekend Chris and I purchased a coffee table for our living room. I also received the stars my Mom sent, so the decor in the living room is coming together. All in all, our entire house is becoming more like a home. Now if only I could have a full-time husband... Chris has been traveling an insane amount. The end of February he left for nearly a week in Virginia, came back and left the following week for South Carolina.
