While our main focus for Christmas break has been to teach and share traditions with our children, we try to squeeze in a bit of travel fun too. This time, we were lucky enough to travel with a group of friends to Oberreit, Austria which is just outside of Zell Am See. We stayed in quaint little cabins where each family had their own. It was perfect. The kids ran from cabin to cabin, playing outside and having fun, while the adults gathered in one living room, chatting and laughing as we do best. We spent the first day in Salzburg where we captured pieces of Mozart's life--birthplace, house in later life. We walked the Christmas market, kids ice skated in the plaza (4.50 Euros per child), and we finished the day with a horse drawn carriage ride. The second day we signed the kids up for ski school where they went from novices to advanced beginners. They had such a great time. We were a bit worried they wouldn't want to go back for day 2, but they were eager little students. Chri
