Hello Summer!

Occasionally, I try to do fun things for the girls' classmates and friends. These are the end of the year gifts for their friends. I think they turned out really cute and they were super easy!

Bowling FUN

We had a great weekend. The kind of weekend where we had few plans and a lot of enjoyable family time. The kind of weekend that you hate to see go! Forgive the poor picture quality. I only had my ipad with me.... Drew and Claire Claire and Mya--she started out using the ramp, but after a few tosses she was throwing the ball down the lane by herself. Makenna. These two girls shared a lane and took turns so well! I was very proud of Mya. I think she is pretty proud of herself too! She LOVED bowling. Not a good pic of Makenna. Mya wanted to hurry up and get down to business, so I didn't have a chance for a retake ;) Mya has a great little friend at school. She and Makenna are joined at the hip. Lately when I've picked Mya up, Makenna runs over to me and says, "Mya come to my house." Well, Stacey (Makenna's Momma) and I arranged a little play date, which worked out wonderfully. We opted to meet at the bowling alley for a little ...

good-byes, good-byes. don't get me started.

claire was trying her best to ride this big kid bike all afternoon. mya and lucy followed each other around. pretty sweet friends. michelle and lucy hanging in the hammock. mya was on her game trying to get up the steps when we looked away--at lightening speed. alison and mya hanging out. poor thing had foot surgery a week ago and still played hostess. what a amazing girl! mya and henri were trying to fix the air conditioner or maybe they were sharing secrets. hmm. i hate good-byes. i hate them so much that my way of coping is to avoid them. my good friends know this. thankfully, they understand and put up with my silly ways. no fuss was made. i avoided lunch with a few from work and i avoided another lunch date that will take place tomorrow. i can't avoid saying the dreaded good-byes to my two, nearest and dearest friends--alison and michelle. these girls are the best. really. this lifestyle involves great efforts to stay connected with those friends...

a fun filled day

our list of "to-dos" before we leave new england is rather lengthy, but we can cross off one item today. we ventured to the acton children's discovery center. it was a great little place especially geared for younger kiddos and FREE thanks to my teacher id and military id. love that. our friends, erin & liam and michelle & lucy joined us for the fun. i was able to capture a few photos before my battery died-you'd think i'd learn to double check these things. anyway, i did take some more photos with my phone, but now i have to figure out how to get them off of my phone and onto my computer. oiy! the center was cute--complete with a little diner, water table, train table, and oceanesque things too. very cute and perfect as far as size. we spent a couple of hours there, which was great for little ones. our second activity of the day was a trip to the playground. i opted to go to the playground across from our old house. it was sad, although claire didn't...

Saturday Fun with Friends

we've made Saturday's our day with friends. we enjoy it thoroughly. alison, henri, michelle and lucy came over after their swimming lesson to share some breakfast and chatting. the kiddos played and we talked, laughed and talked some more. these girls are awesome. our babies have definitely brought us together as great friends, but they are ones that feel i've had my entire life. love that feeling. chris and michelle's husband, rocky, joined us a bit later. rocky was kind enough to help chris move the remaining items from our house into the storage unit. we are so thankful for friends. we've got some great ones. after some lunch, a nap and the realization that it was 4:00, everyone went home. it was such a nice day. we love these friends.
