Stroller

We ordered our stroller on Tuesday from Specialtybaby.com and it arrived Friday evening. It is a Graco, Laura Ashley Metrolite Travel System in Aqua Bay fabric. It is lovely. It arrived partially assembled, but judging by Chris' facial expressions, you'd think he put the whole thing together himself. We look forward to many walks with our little girl. Harvest isn't too sure about it as with most things baby. He sniffs it and looks at it often. I thought we should put him in and give it a test run, but Chris wasn't convinced. In retrospect, we should have ordered the stroller for 2 instead, so both of our children could have a place to sit.

More basement pictures...

It rained for 40 days and 40 nights!

These are the pictures of our basement after the padding and baseboards were removed. We have placed industrial fans on a couple of walls now to help dry them out. Chris and I are going to begin demoing the walls today and evaluate how much more needs to be done. We are just happy that the rain has stopped, the sun is shining and we are DRY!!!

Red Sox-Yankees, April 20th, 2007

For Chris' 30th birthday, which is quickly approaching, I bought him 2 tickets to see the Red Sox-Yankees game at Fenway Park. The weather was perfect--lower 70's with a slight breeze. It was certainly a nice break from all the rain we've been having as of late. Chris and I left for the game rather early, in order to take in all the festivities. We actually were able to watch some of the players arriving at the Stadium. David Ortiz, who is pictured on the left, arrived in his pimped-out, white Escalade with the song, "This Is Why I'm Hot" pumping through the open windows. It was rather amusing seeing each player drive up in their different vehicles. I guess we assume each must drive a flashy, pimped-out vehicle, like Ortiz', but that wasn't the case. Mike Lowell drove a white GMC Yukon, Mike Timlin drove a VW SUV, Varitek drove a Volvo SUV and several others did drive Hummers. It was a neat experience. The game was great too. We sat in the pavillion s

Homeownership is Grand!!

This posting will be a mix of sorts. First, my doctor's appointment. Everything went well. I passed the glucose screening, baby's heartbeat was 148 bpm and she is measuring "medium." I am officially into the third trimester, which means a doctor visit again in 3 weeks. All is well. I was adviced to eat more vegetables and meats to avoid birthing a "toddler." Such kind words of advice. I, myself, am looking forward to birthing a toddler. Perhaps I will then miss all the sleepness nights and move right into play. Sounds like a dream. Now onto our drama. I am on spring break this week. Chris and I were talking on Sunday about what a nice, relaxing week I should have. Generally, I have a list a mile long to complete, but finally, we have reached a point in which that list no longer exists. However, I awoke Monday morning to the sound of the sump pumps in the basement, decided to run down and check it out, only to find my feet in 3 inches of cold water. I immedia
