An Addiction...

I've been told the first step in addressing a problem is to admit you have one. So here I am, confessing my latest addiction. Well, it started 2 years ago when we moved overseas. Living in Korea with no Target nearby, no Old Navy to wander, nowhere to get my quick fix for all things pretty, I was forced to friend my computer. I have a bit of OCD in me. I have taken the necessity of online shopping to a level of pleasure. I LOVE finding yellow or now white slips of paper in my mailbox, knowing that I have a lovely box waiting for me. This thrill has now rubbed off on Claire who consistently loudly shouts, "YESSSSS" each time she sees that slip. :) It is exciting!
Now that I've admitted my problem, let me share the love with you....(Chris stop reading!)
Here are my go to's....
1. Loft.com--don't get me started. I hate them, but I love them. I have returned to them like a bruised and battered victim, but at least I look good. I am waiting for my latest purchases to arrive as we speak and at 40% off everything, how can Chris complain?!
2. Oldnavy.com--mostly for my kids.
3. Carters.com--again, my kids
4. Groopdealz.com--LOVE them. They have become a new fav. They feature etsy shops mostly and I love supporting small business. I have bought everything from vinyl wall decals to favor bags to boot socks to chore charts. I'll have to post pictures of my new treasures when we get settled in our new house. The only negative is that they don't ship to APO, which means my poor Mom and Dad resend us everything. That stinks, but LOVE my parents!
5. Veryjane.com--This is my latest find! It is a goldmine as well. I just purchased a headwrap, earrings, & washi tape. So adorable and great prices too! They even ship to APO! Love that!
There you have it--how I feed my addiction without leaving my house.

What would Dave Ramsey say? I will not talk I have a love of shopping as well! However, I have lost my shopping partners since I moved here. It is super cute that Claire gets so excited to get a package. I will be reminding you how you created this addiction at an early age. Good luck when she's a teenager it's going to be brutal! Love YA, J

A post

You wanted it, you asked for it, so here it is. A post. Hopefully this post will satisfy all your desires. I am not writing about the apple of my eye, Claire, but of the other apple of my eye--reality tv. I love it! Right now I am getting my fill of Big Brother. I have even lured Chris into my dark place. He mostly watched last season because Dick was such a jerk, but Chris is hooked. He's a dedicated viewer once again this season. Sadly, he was a fan of Matty who was kicked off a few weeks ago. I don't think I have a favorite. I find them all to be so obnoxious, yet I watch. Go figure. I obviously need some more excitement in my life. Girls who wear butt showing shorts, screaming matches, verbal abuse, crazy eyes, back stabbing, boys running around in their colored tighty whiteys (if tighty whiteys are colored, are they still called tighty whiteys?)---all in one episode! It is a gold mine. My second can't miss show is Housewives of Orange County or New York City. I really

4 months

We are potentially down to our last four months in Korea. I say "potentially" because it rests solely on where we are going. If we are heading back to the States, we will most likely be leaving early June so that we can enjoy a full summer with family and have time to get settled before Claire begins school. We caught wind today of what could be our next assignment. Although it is far from official word, all of a sudden my tummy is filled with butterflies. I had the privilege of teaching a little first grade girl who was one of a set of quadruplets. They (she and her sisters) are the most delightful little girls. They are well behaved and truly beautiful inside and out. Anyway, their family was due to PCS (military move) in December. I teased her that I was going to follow her and live down the road. While they were house hunting, I continually asked if there was a neighboring house for me. She'd laugh and giggle, not really sure if I was serious or not. Her Mom thought

Progress

I used to be prompt about scrapbooking in Claire's album. After seeing my sister's pictures piled up three children later, I was determined not to have the same fate. I am sure it is difficult for some of you to believe, but since Claire has been born, my free time has been limited. Really, it has. So, our pictures are finding their way into piles too--5 to be exact. However, I am thrilled to say that I finished (ok, they aren't completely finished, but nearly. I only have journaling to do.) six pages. Yes, that's right, I said SIX!! It was a major accomplishment. Here they are for your viewing pleasure. Only 5 more months left to get through....any volunteers? Jessica???
