Our Little Cupid

Yes, we like to torture our child, but isn't she adorable??? It was so worth the pain. She wanted so desperately to eat the arrow, but I was ready to pounce at any minute. I can only imagine how many germs are on that thing. Yuck. If only we could have gotten her to smile instead of looking stunned. Maybe it was the sight of her Daddy in gold wings and his undies that did this to her? Ok, I am only kidding. Chris kept his clothes on. I just thought I needed to wake you up. Maybe my humor will make you comment?? No, really, I think our lame photographer was enough to put us all in a stupor. She was far from entertaining. Chris and I had to be the idiots for the first time or second time (she was the same one we had when we had her newborn shots taken, which was also supposed to be a sitting with Claire's cousins. I think "supposed to" says enough. Ava didn't want to sit and smile for the log.). She was lame, enough said. On a more positive note? Wouldn't you like to get struck by this little cupid?? Who will be the lucky guy??

Thank you for our card! We loved it (though Josh was concerned about you sending naked pictures of your child in the mail to us!). Whoever snags her will be one lucky guy (who knows, maybe it will be a Brackett boy or a Jakan man! - no that does not mean anyone up here is pregnant!).

Oooo, you had me wondering/hoping for a second, Erin.
I think the "I am winning" comment from my sister was also for you, Erin. She feels you are her biggest rival for the title of
"Best Commenter." A title which will be given out shortly. No, there isn't a Grand Prize attached, but pride of owning the title should be enough, shouldn't it. So, hurry up people, give these girls a run for their money....

I guess we'll know who the "lucky" boy is in about 30-40 years... If this boy knows what's good for him!!!!

Funny you should mention a "lucky" boy. I happen to have one of them and sure would like him to settle down with a beautiful young lady WITH SOME REALLY COOL PARENTS.

I'm just saying...

Well Jess, hold onto your crown! Kara, I knew that comment would have you thinking bad thoughts so I wanted to be clear. Before we have our own little one a few things have to happen (1) you and Chris have to promise to stay in New England (2) you need to have another little one so they can be close in age (3) I need to get a job with great health insurance and (4) we need to move into a better town, closer to daycares and babysitters! You have a little bit of a wait.

A post

You wanted it, you asked for it, so here it is. A post. Hopefully this post will satisfy all your desires. I am not writing about the apple of my eye, Claire, but of the other apple of my eye--reality tv. I love it! Right now I am getting my fill of Big Brother. I have even lured Chris into my dark place. He mostly watched last season because Dick was such a jerk, but Chris is hooked. He's a dedicated viewer once again this season. Sadly, he was a fan of Matty who was kicked off a few weeks ago. I don't think I have a favorite. I find them all to be so obnoxious, yet I watch. Go figure. I obviously need some more excitement in my life. Girls who wear butt showing shorts, screaming matches, verbal abuse, crazy eyes, back stabbing, boys running around in their colored tighty whiteys (if tighty whiteys are colored, are they still called tighty whiteys?)---all in one episode! It is a gold mine. My second can't miss show is Housewives of Orange County or New York City. I really

Progress

I used to be prompt about scrapbooking in Claire's album. After seeing my sister's pictures piled up three children later, I was determined not to have the same fate. I am sure it is difficult for some of you to believe, but since Claire has been born, my free time has been limited. Really, it has. So, our pictures are finding their way into piles too--5 to be exact. However, I am thrilled to say that I finished (ok, they aren't completely finished, but nearly. I only have journaling to do.) six pages. Yes, that's right, I said SIX!! It was a major accomplishment. Here they are for your viewing pleasure. Only 5 more months left to get through....any volunteers? Jessica???

Claire, Mya and the NEWS

Chris and I had this elaborate plan on how we were going to share the news with our girls. I ordered adorable shirts, which took forever to get here. They were supposed to ship Oct. 4, but didn't. I am not a patient soul at all. I love to share good news and spread the excitement. We went to a German doctor last week for a gender reveal ultrasound. He was 99% certain of his selection. Claire and I began looking at clothes online. She asked questions about why we were looking at baby clothing, but thankfully, my sister has a little guy and a baby girl who is due in December. They are my perfect excuses for all things baby! Claire asked nothing more and began pointing out things we should buy Jackson or the new baby girl. Our weekends typically involve partaking in a local event or just relaxing, which means a trip to the KMCC Mall. Saturday we went shopping or at least looking. Once again, the girls became excited, choosing items for Jackson or the new baby girl. I decided I cou
