sneak peak

I love Halloween. Mostly I love choosing costumes and torturing my children in a humane way. I must say that two kids are even better than one. Now I can coordinate. I had this great idea to dress all of us up for Halloween this year, but I couldn't bring myself to follow through with the adult costumes. Anyway, I was going to keep this a secret, but once again, I hate surprises, so here we go. I am sharing with the world our two most adorable babies....our monkey and banana.

Well shoot, I just posted a comment and it didn't work. Those kids are way too cute for words. I love the costumes and also love talking to Claire on the phone...I love her saying Hello jessica..she seems to say it several times during the conversation as a filler so to speak. Thanks for your help with the photographer...knew I could count on you! Only a couple of weeks til I see your lovely face! YEAH

so cute!!! we are working on what to have the Hunter dress up as for halloween. I was actually thinking a monkey but they didn't have a costume in his size. My sister is being a cup of hot chocolate - I can't wait to see this costume!

Yes, indeeedy do. 0.0 is exactly the amount of weight I lost this week. Irritating! Here's the breakdown: number of times I cheated on my diet--ZERO! number of times I worked out--FIVE!! (running, no less). Now that is a mean, mean slap in the face. After I picked myself off the floor and resisted the urge to throw the scale through my window, I've come to realize that it is time to call in the big guns. There will be no messing around. Through a very valuable (HA!--sense the sarcasm) inservice this year, I've learned that I am "Green," meaning logical, research based, problem solver, mathmatical thinker. I am applying the same thought and strategy to my 'get fit' adventure. There will be no relying on the treadmill to tell me how much I've burned. That thing lies, LIES, LIES!! 2 weeks...

As I write this, my house is being cleaned and not by me. This is my favorite day of the week. There is nothing like going home to a clean house and smelling the bleach to know it is germ free as well. This is my second good day in a row! I took the day off yesterday. Claire didn't have school due to Fasching (German equivalent of Halloween--minus the door to door trick or treating), so I gave Mya the option of hanging out with us as well. She took some convincing, but later said she had a great day. I must admit that I was focused on giving my back a much needed break, so my morning consisted of napping and laying on the couch. Not my best parenting in action, but it did wonders for the rest of the day. We met Chris for lunch, then returned home to enjoy the sunshine before the girls' swimming lessons.
