A week in review.

Chris left for DC on Monday only to head to Ohio on Tuesday and return home on Wednesday. After spending a week and a half alone this month, I am ready for him to be home for awhile. However, I do not have any power as he is scheduled to leave again in a couple of weeks.

I ordered a new blog design. Kathy at the Modern Polka Dot does an amazing job, and I cannot wait to see what she has made just for us.

Claire experienced her first little bout with the flu. It was a long night filled with crying, fevers and vomitting, but she seems to be on the mend after a few hours of cuddling and princess fruit snacks. Behold the healing power of Princess fruit snacks. They are awesome :)

Chris, being the petri dish that he is, has managed to catch another bug. He, for the fifth time this fall, is congested with a sore throat. He is off to get his crazy medicine again despite my urging to get a real medicine.

I am enjoying the smell of sweet potatoes roasting in the oven. I may be crazy, but I am actually going to try making Mya's babyfood. We'll see how it goes as I have a more refined plan than when Claire was a baby.

I guess that is it for the week wrap up. We're looking forward to a weekend of relaxation and hanging out.

I would like a lesson in blog creating! I have no idea where to even start - your newest design is very nice and I'm amazed you did it yourself!

come on down and we'll do a lesson or I could design one for you---just send me the ideas, colors, pictures, etc. I'd be happy to do it.

A post

You wanted it, you asked for it, so here it is. A post. Hopefully this post will satisfy all your desires. I am not writing about the apple of my eye, Claire, but of the other apple of my eye--reality tv. I love it! Right now I am getting my fill of Big Brother. I have even lured Chris into my dark place. He mostly watched last season because Dick was such a jerk, but Chris is hooked. He's a dedicated viewer once again this season. Sadly, he was a fan of Matty who was kicked off a few weeks ago. I don't think I have a favorite. I find them all to be so obnoxious, yet I watch. Go figure. I obviously need some more excitement in my life. Girls who wear butt showing shorts, screaming matches, verbal abuse, crazy eyes, back stabbing, boys running around in their colored tighty whiteys (if tighty whiteys are colored, are they still called tighty whiteys?)---all in one episode! It is a gold mine. My second can't miss show is Housewives of Orange County or New York City. I really

4 months

We are potentially down to our last four months in Korea. I say "potentially" because it rests solely on where we are going. If we are heading back to the States, we will most likely be leaving early June so that we can enjoy a full summer with family and have time to get settled before Claire begins school. We caught wind today of what could be our next assignment. Although it is far from official word, all of a sudden my tummy is filled with butterflies. I had the privilege of teaching a little first grade girl who was one of a set of quadruplets. They (she and her sisters) are the most delightful little girls. They are well behaved and truly beautiful inside and out. Anyway, their family was due to PCS (military move) in December. I teased her that I was going to follow her and live down the road. While they were house hunting, I continually asked if there was a neighboring house for me. She'd laugh and giggle, not really sure if I was serious or not. Her Mom thought

Progress

I used to be prompt about scrapbooking in Claire's album. After seeing my sister's pictures piled up three children later, I was determined not to have the same fate. I am sure it is difficult for some of you to believe, but since Claire has been born, my free time has been limited. Really, it has. So, our pictures are finding their way into piles too--5 to be exact. However, I am thrilled to say that I finished (ok, they aren't completely finished, but nearly. I only have journaling to do.) six pages. Yes, that's right, I said SIX!! It was a major accomplishment. Here they are for your viewing pleasure. Only 5 more months left to get through....any volunteers? Jessica???
