Row, row, row the pounds. Row the pounds away!

Hold onto your seats for what I am about to say is shocking. Here it is. Are you ready? Don't faint in disbelief, but I have gone to the gym (and worked out ;) 7 times in the past two weeks. YAHOO!! I debated about posting because exercise and I tend to have an on and off again relationship since children. But, I really need to reclaim my body so I can have more kids--a bit contradictory but who wants to be lifted by a crane into the hospital bed or have to wear a moo moo their entire pregnancy? Not me! Back to the gym...I don't do a whole lot because, after all, who wants to watch the post baby flab bouncing up and down while they are running? I know I don't. Lovely picture, I know. I am sure my husband is shaking his head right now. On a side, if you've ever worked out at a gym on base you know what I am talking about. It isn't the typical experience where you've got fatties and skinnies. Oh no. I am/was by far the biggest person there. Not good for the self-esteem. Oh well. I go and I enjoy the me time. In my little quest, I have actually discovered a new interest in the rowing machine. I had never tried it before, but watched intently through the mirrors as a guy (who looked like he knew what he was doing) gave it go. After a few people cleared out, I gave it a try. My abs got an incredible workout and dare I say, it was fun. Who'd have guessed? Rowing! I'll keep it on the machine though. No canoes or kayaks for me, but machines I can do. Yesterday I rowed 15 minutes, but I am going to increase it little by little. I actually researched a bit to make sure that I have proper form. It is quite the process and not done correctly by most. Ha. I am not lifting weights regularly, but I am trying to gradually increase my cardio. I discovered that OnDemand has Jillian Michael's workouts. Claire and I did one on Saturday. Claire is quite the exercise queen. Way too funny. She thought the 2 pound weights were a little heavy for her though.
Anyway, I am thrilled to say that I am down one size in my pants--2 more to go for total bliss! So, I'll keep on keeping on.
If only I had been more motivated before Jess's wedding. Although, I probably need to thank the pictures for giving me the kick in the pants.

One more thing---the Celtics need some loving!! GO CELTICS! There is talk right now (because sports are life in Boston) that the Celtics are following in the steps of the Bruins and will lose the series despite being ahead 3 games to 1, but I have faith. If there is one thing I learned from my Dad about sports is that you have to have faith. He's a Vikings and Celtics fan, which means he has a long history with faith. Ha!
GO CELTICS!

That's funny! Rory was just singing to me "Row, Row, Row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a pickle!"
Keep up the good work! It's so hard to find the time when the kids are little, but it feels so good to get fit! Great job!
P.S. does this mean you are cheating on Tony?

Oh April....Tony and I have a love/hate relationship. I had to laugh when I read Taylor's comment about Jillian's book and 30 day shred. I could do a post about all the exercise stuff I have. I got it all. I am afraid it would be rather embarassing as one would think with all that crap, I should be one fit momma! If only that were the case...Tony and I are "off" again, if you know what I mean.

Progress

I used to be prompt about scrapbooking in Claire's album. After seeing my sister's pictures piled up three children later, I was determined not to have the same fate. I am sure it is difficult for some of you to believe, but since Claire has been born, my free time has been limited. Really, it has. So, our pictures are finding their way into piles too--5 to be exact. However, I am thrilled to say that I finished (ok, they aren't completely finished, but nearly. I only have journaling to do.) six pages. Yes, that's right, I said SIX!! It was a major accomplishment. Here they are for your viewing pleasure. Only 5 more months left to get through....any volunteers? Jessica???

A post

You wanted it, you asked for it, so here it is. A post. Hopefully this post will satisfy all your desires. I am not writing about the apple of my eye, Claire, but of the other apple of my eye--reality tv. I love it! Right now I am getting my fill of Big Brother. I have even lured Chris into my dark place. He mostly watched last season because Dick was such a jerk, but Chris is hooked. He's a dedicated viewer once again this season. Sadly, he was a fan of Matty who was kicked off a few weeks ago. I don't think I have a favorite. I find them all to be so obnoxious, yet I watch. Go figure. I obviously need some more excitement in my life. Girls who wear butt showing shorts, screaming matches, verbal abuse, crazy eyes, back stabbing, boys running around in their colored tighty whiteys (if tighty whiteys are colored, are they still called tighty whiteys?)---all in one episode! It is a gold mine. My second can't miss show is Housewives of Orange County or New York City. I really

4 months

We are potentially down to our last four months in Korea. I say "potentially" because it rests solely on where we are going. If we are heading back to the States, we will most likely be leaving early June so that we can enjoy a full summer with family and have time to get settled before Claire begins school. We caught wind today of what could be our next assignment. Although it is far from official word, all of a sudden my tummy is filled with butterflies. I had the privilege of teaching a little first grade girl who was one of a set of quadruplets. They (she and her sisters) are the most delightful little girls. They are well behaved and truly beautiful inside and out. Anyway, their family was due to PCS (military move) in December. I teased her that I was going to follow her and live down the road. While they were house hunting, I continually asked if there was a neighboring house for me. She'd laugh and giggle, not really sure if I was serious or not. Her Mom thought
