I am lovin' these!

I tend to run out of things to blog about because (wait for it) (here it is) our lives are not that exciting! Yep, there you have it. Our day to day happenings are generally pretty typical and routine. We go to school/work, come home, eat dinner, play, bathe and beds begin to call our names. Thrilling.
I decided to mix things up with a little post about what I am loving.

Item #1--Mya. This kid has quite the personality. When describing her to others, I probably make them envision a whack job kiddo. She is bossy, wild, smart, loveable, so sweet, rough and tough, funny and completely adorable. She is definitely a spit fire. We aren't 100% potty trained, but only because she likes to be in control. Oiy. Mya loves to try on everyone's shoes, clothes and jewelry. Case in point the picture below. I ordered her a leotard since she pitches a hissy fit everytime Claire has ballet and she can't go too. I put the leotard on her, she dug out the tutu and crown. The shoes were still on her feet from school and voila! Gorgeous!

Seriously, can she be any more adorable?
 Item #2--leather parson's chairs
My new chairs and of course, the model too ;)! We previously had
the same style parson's chair with beige microfiber upholstery. Life was good until our kids became mobil little creatures who had ooey gooey hands and slobber. I grew tired of cleaning them every week or two, so out they went and in came the leather. Love them--super easy to clean and a lot less stress and frustration on my end.

Item #3--Claire and my cordless vacuum.

I love Claire. She is super duper easy. She really is a good kiddo who occasionally tests the limits. Take, for example, a conversation from only moments ago-Claire--"Gosh is a bad word." Me--"No, you can say that." Claire--"Okay. Gosh is okay, but Gosh damnit is a bad word." Umm, yeah. She is smart and pretty funny. Recently she has begun to provide Mya with speech therapy. I haven't posted the video, but Claire began saying her "r's" in conversation last week. I AM SO PROUD! Anyway, I've been praising her and so she has taken it upon herself to share her knowledge with Mya. Perhaps she will follow in my footsteps. Speaking of following in my footsteps...before I forget. This morning Mya was playing with an old purse. I look over and she is shoving their fisher price camera inside the purse--"just like Momma." So sweet!
My kids drive me crazy with their fighting at times, but I know I am so blessed to have such wonderful kiddos. They are truly my life.
Onto item #3...my cordless vacuum. I got this idea from my sister, Jessica. She is anal retentive--sort of like me, I guess. When we visited her in Montana this summer, she had a little cordless vac that she pulled out after each meal. I thought it was such a great idea! No irritating cords, no dirt to sweep! Yippee! Ours arrived a few weeks ago. The kids LOVE to vacuum. The vacuum is so light that they can easily move it around and it does a good job. My Dyson is still my favorite, but as far as sanity goes--this is it. I use this everyday in between my cleaning lady visits when she pulls out the Dyson and does a thorough cleaning. Love it!

I did call you, but from what I understand you were a turquoise blob with big boobs or at least that was a paraphrased self description that was relayed to me ;) Hope the BOBS were everything I imagined and more. Again--PERFECT blog material :)
Love you!

Ugh..Someone said I was a turquoise blob with big boobs, I am deeply offended. I was a sight for sore eyes but that seems a bit harsh. The shoes were comfortable and after wearing that dress all night..I was thankful to wear the bobs. Beauty was not in the cards for me anyway! Had a Dr. appointment yesterday everything looks great. Mark your calendar November 1st is the revealing. I can't wait!!

Love ya,

I thought you described yourself as the blob with big boobs. That was the message I got and that message was relayed before the wedding, so not from a wedding guest.
Glad the bobs were a hit. They actually sell the exact ones here in the BX. I laugh everytime I walk by. ;) Fun reminder of you.
Can't wait for the reveal. I think I should get first notice on the gender! I do afterall have the shitty situation of being a half a world away. We are excited.
I tried to call you this morning, but NO answer!

A post

You wanted it, you asked for it, so here it is. A post. Hopefully this post will satisfy all your desires. I am not writing about the apple of my eye, Claire, but of the other apple of my eye--reality tv. I love it! Right now I am getting my fill of Big Brother. I have even lured Chris into my dark place. He mostly watched last season because Dick was such a jerk, but Chris is hooked. He's a dedicated viewer once again this season. Sadly, he was a fan of Matty who was kicked off a few weeks ago. I don't think I have a favorite. I find them all to be so obnoxious, yet I watch. Go figure. I obviously need some more excitement in my life. Girls who wear butt showing shorts, screaming matches, verbal abuse, crazy eyes, back stabbing, boys running around in their colored tighty whiteys (if tighty whiteys are colored, are they still called tighty whiteys?)---all in one episode! It is a gold mine. My second can't miss show is Housewives of Orange County or New York City. I really

2 weeks...

As I write this, my house is being cleaned and not by me. This is my favorite day of the week. There is nothing like going home to a clean house and smelling the bleach to know it is germ free as well. This is my second good day in a row! I took the day off yesterday. Claire didn't have school due to Fasching (German equivalent of Halloween--minus the door to door trick or treating), so I gave Mya the option of hanging out with us as well. She took some convincing, but later said she had a great day. I must admit that I was focused on giving my back a much needed break, so my morning consisted of napping and laying on the couch. Not my best parenting in action, but it did wonders for the rest of the day. We met Chris for lunch, then returned home to enjoy the sunshine before the girls' swimming lessons. It was in the 50's yesterday, absolutely gorgeous! It really is hard to believe that we made it through the entire winter with no snow. I think it snowed possibly 2 days, b

Claire, Mya and the NEWS

Chris and I had this elaborate plan on how we were going to share the news with our girls. I ordered adorable shirts, which took forever to get here. They were supposed to ship Oct. 4, but didn't. I am not a patient soul at all. I love to share good news and spread the excitement. We went to a German doctor last week for a gender reveal ultrasound. He was 99% certain of his selection. Claire and I began looking at clothes online. She asked questions about why we were looking at baby clothing, but thankfully, my sister has a little guy and a baby girl who is due in December. They are my perfect excuses for all things baby! Claire asked nothing more and began pointing out things we should buy Jackson or the new baby girl. Our weekends typically involve partaking in a local event or just relaxing, which means a trip to the KMCC Mall. Saturday we went shopping or at least looking. Once again, the girls became excited, choosing items for Jackson or the new baby girl. I decided I cou
