So, we were four weeks into P90X when our lives were flipped upside down by the house sale and move. It has been a crazy few weeks and although I am not wanting to get back on the wagon, I hear my body screaming at me--telling me to get off my big tooshy. I have my "skinny jeans" hanging on the door (a helpful tip from my pal Ali) and I'm ready to go. Tomorrow will be day 1 of my 53 day plan to eat healthfully and exercise. Yippee!! Jessica and Nate's wedding is just around the corner, so it seemed like a good marking point. I can hold off on eating the bag of mini cadbury eggs sitting in my cupboard until the April 26th at which point I will most likely eat the whole bag (Chris leaves for his year long deployment and I will be off on my 365 day journey of single parenthood with no family supports nearby--thank God for friends and family that will fly here at the ring of a phone!). Anyway, I've spent some time thinking about this tour at Hanscom and things I'd do differently. One being, my regret for not forming relationships with military wives. I love my friends. I love love love my friends and thankfully, I can honestly say that I have some great ones here---Ali, Michelle (love you guys), but I do feel badly that I haven't any friends who can relate to our lifestyle and the struggle of deployments, etc. (That being said, Hanscom is a really strange base with not many military personnel, SO the opportunities may have been pretty limited had I been more open to the idea.) Through this searching the past week or so, I have come across a couple of military wife blogs that until now, I've lurked upon incognito!! Anyway, Casey at everchanginglife.com has started "Movin' in March." This just may be the kick in the pants that I need AND give me a connection to some of those military wives that I've been looking for. Here we go again....P90x and pain. Bring it!!
Claire is nine months old. She is such an active kid, always on the go. She no longer lays nicely when we change her diaper. It is quite the challenge. She is getting rather quick at crawling, so we have to move just as quickly to keep her out of where she doesn't belong--the fridge, cupboards, etc. Developmentally, she is right on track or maybe a bit advanced in our biased eyes. She crawls, pulls herself up, is beginning to move from one piece of furniture to another, mostly eats table food, and imitates us (both in the noises we make or actions--knocking on a door). When we hold her hands, she is beginning to take steps without much guidance. On Saturday, she made her first attempt to climb a step. Sadly, it ended with her sliding down. She has three teeth--two on the bottom, one on top with another coming in on top. Ten things we love about her: 1. her smile 2. her curiosity 3. the way she holds our hands or her own hands when she sleeps 4. her easy-goingness 5....

Making mil spouse friends is SO important, especially for dealing with deployment. Overseas, it's easier to do since we all need each other, but I think it is just as important stateside. Always good to have friends who understand!
I am so excited to see you guys...we are gonna have some fun..thanks for all your help your awesome!
Love ya,
