Greatness...

It isn't often that I blog about my husband. Although I think he's pretty great, I have two little ones who captivate me in everyway imaginable. Between them and my randomness, there is little time to brag about Chris.

However, yesterday I brought Claire home from school early. Chris came home and looked at the blog and muttered something about all my free time and not having written a new post. So, I'll take his comment with the positivity and support that I am certain was intended and write a little something about HIM!

I've loved Chris for so long. It is odd to think we've been together almost 14 years?!! Wow! Married nearly 7! He can make me laugh like no other, make me feel like no other, embarrass the heck out of me like nearly no other and has made me prouder than nearly no other (my kids have a pretty natural knack for this as well). I don't know how he does what he does. The guy is amazing. He works 12 hour days, yet still makes time for his kiddos/wife and is finishing his MBA. He is finishing his MBA!!! Yippee!! I couldn't be more proud! Beginning in August I will no longer be able to hold the fact that I have a Master's Degree and he doesn't, over his head. (He and I are a bit competitive and tend to each have certain little quips that we like to throw at each other. Mine is regarding my higher level of education and his is "it's military stuff, you wouldn't understand." Childish to some, but amusing to us.) Anyway, I am so proud of him. He has worked so hard and sacrificed much to achieve this goal. I can't tell you how many days he has functioned on 4 hours of sleep. Far too many to count. Being one that needs her sleep, I can't quite fathom four hours repeatedly while maintaining a happy disposition. Amazing! It thrills me that he constantly tries to better himself and aspire to bigger and better things. He is the most honest person I know and although it bothered me at first, I have since grown to admire his lack of satisfaction with status quo and team mentality. He is the best teammate I know and thankfully, he's mine. I certainly don't say it often enough, but I am so proud of you, Chris. You are an incredible leader, father, husband and person. You make my life and those around you so much richer. Cheers to you!

I knew you were going to say that Jessica. All you have to do is allude to the fact that I've done nothing all day and that is it. I share the love! I could certainly write a post about you. You know I love you and of course, nothing but pride here!

Oh and yes, I am already looking into a Specialists degree or a Doctorate. Just have to fit into this family expansion project. Hmmm. If only I could clone myself. I certainly cannot let Chris become my equal!! Ha.

Thanks J, but I am not there yet. It feels like I still have a huge mountain to climb. My next objective will be to get my pilot's license. Kara will be very excited about that. Then I will have a pilot, cop and finance officer on my resume... The three things Kara has always wanted to be... Especially the finance officer. But in her defense, who doesn't want to be a finance officer?

Nice try and enough with the nicetys (didn't last long, I know). You aren't getting your pilot's license. Give it up. My turn. Instead, you can work on becoming household manager.

As Lisa would say..don't you live in the same house...can't you talk? Just teasing..Your next hat should be a maid...everyone could use a good maid.

Love ya,
J

This is pretty amusing! I have a Master's too...where is my love? When will my adoring post come? I am laughing at J's comment....don't you live in the same house? I am still wondering what the deleted comment was? Thankfully Phil has no interest in a Master's degree! I could become Dr. Murdoff in just over a year, but I am not that crazy!

Sistas---I thought you'd both enjoy Chris' comment about the COP!! That goes WWWAAAAYYY back. And yes, we do live in the same house, but for some reason, it is more fun to communicate where the whole world can see ;)
We already have a maid, Jessica, but I could hire Chris out. That is an idea!! Can't you see him wearing the black and white dress with a little feather duster in hand. Ha.
Here's a little competition--she who sees me next will get her own post ;) Who wants it more??? Come to Korea.

Truly I did the humor about the cop but forgot to add it to my comment! Good one Chris! I would love to see you Kara, however a trip to Korea seems impossible! Guess J will get the post:)

A post

You wanted it, you asked for it, so here it is. A post. Hopefully this post will satisfy all your desires. I am not writing about the apple of my eye, Claire, but of the other apple of my eye--reality tv. I love it! Right now I am getting my fill of Big Brother. I have even lured Chris into my dark place. He mostly watched last season because Dick was such a jerk, but Chris is hooked. He's a dedicated viewer once again this season. Sadly, he was a fan of Matty who was kicked off a few weeks ago. I don't think I have a favorite. I find them all to be so obnoxious, yet I watch. Go figure. I obviously need some more excitement in my life. Girls who wear butt showing shorts, screaming matches, verbal abuse, crazy eyes, back stabbing, boys running around in their colored tighty whiteys (if tighty whiteys are colored, are they still called tighty whiteys?)---all in one episode! It is a gold mine. My second can't miss show is Housewives of Orange County or New York City. I really

4 months

We are potentially down to our last four months in Korea. I say "potentially" because it rests solely on where we are going. If we are heading back to the States, we will most likely be leaving early June so that we can enjoy a full summer with family and have time to get settled before Claire begins school. We caught wind today of what could be our next assignment. Although it is far from official word, all of a sudden my tummy is filled with butterflies. I had the privilege of teaching a little first grade girl who was one of a set of quadruplets. They (she and her sisters) are the most delightful little girls. They are well behaved and truly beautiful inside and out. Anyway, their family was due to PCS (military move) in December. I teased her that I was going to follow her and live down the road. While they were house hunting, I continually asked if there was a neighboring house for me. She'd laugh and giggle, not really sure if I was serious or not. Her Mom thought

Progress

I used to be prompt about scrapbooking in Claire's album. After seeing my sister's pictures piled up three children later, I was determined not to have the same fate. I am sure it is difficult for some of you to believe, but since Claire has been born, my free time has been limited. Really, it has. So, our pictures are finding their way into piles too--5 to be exact. However, I am thrilled to say that I finished (ok, they aren't completely finished, but nearly. I only have journaling to do.) six pages. Yes, that's right, I said SIX!! It was a major accomplishment. Here they are for your viewing pleasure. Only 5 more months left to get through....any volunteers? Jessica???
