We've been working on potty training Mya since this summer, although I will be the first to admit it has been a half-hearted effort. Consequently, it isn't going as quickly as it did with Claire who was trained at 2 years, 1 month after only 1 weekend. However, I am pleased to say that she only had one wet diaper yesterday after naptime and so far today, we are dry. I've tried M&M's/chocolates in the past, but nothing seemed to make a difference. This weekend, they've been gold. She isn't so great about letting me know she has to go potty (generally raises the roof after the fact, though), but I am reminding her frequently. Now she's working for stickers or chocolates. Whatever works! I am hoping to have her fully trained by the time Chris returns. We shall see.
Yes, indeeedy do. 0.0 is exactly the amount of weight I lost this week. Irritating! Here's the breakdown: number of times I cheated on my diet--ZERO! number of times I worked out--FIVE!! (running, no less). Now that is a mean, mean slap in the face. After I picked myself off the floor and resisted the urge to throw the scale through my window, I've come to realize that it is time to call in the big guns. There will be no messing around. Through a very valuable (HA!--sense the sarcasm) inservice this year, I've learned that I am "Green," meaning logical, research based, problem solver, mathmatical thinker. I am applying the same thought and strategy to my 'get fit' adventure. There will be no relying on the treadmill to tell me how much I've burned. That thing lies, LIES, LIES!!
