Time flies!

Yep. Holding hands. Words cannot express the love in my heart!

This girl is such a clown! She's got personality like no other :)

Wow, we are almost into November and I am becoming more and more deliquent in keeping this blog updated. Chris left on Saturday for a 5 week class in Mississippi, so it is just the girls and I. I am well versed in the sometimes single momma thing, but I also started taking classes for my Autism Specialist certification, which means another ball has been thrown in the air in addition to the other four I am left to juggle. Oiy. It has been interesting. Thankfully, the girls have been very understanding and allow me a little time each night to read and respond to the required posts. I have also discovered the convenience of a book light as I try to turn the pages of my  text ever so quietly so as not to disturb our little sleeping cherubs. (One of the perks for them of Daddy being gone is I let them sleep in my bed! They love it, I love having them near me, and it makes all of our lives a wee bit easier.) Now I simply need to negotiate some time to complete the 4 other papers I need to write. Ahhh! Anyway, time is passing quickly. Claire has a birthday party for her friend, Madison this weekend. Halloween follows. I can't wait to show you pics of my kiddos in their COORDINATING costumes. I really wonder how much longer they will tolerate my creativity??! My sister Jessica is announcing the gender of her baby on the 1st of November, which we are ALL so excited about! This baby has been an enormous blessing on an ever long journey for them (and us all) so we are thanking the Lord above for each day. Can't wait for another niece or nephew to spoil and of course a cousin to play with. We are so blessed with such an awesome family. Love them! We are also having pictures taken next weekend. The following weekend is a super long one and the weekend after that is when both Daddy and MY MOM arrive! I am so excited to have my Mom join us for a few weeks. I miss my family so, so, so much. The girls and I have been talking about her visit for sometime already, so hopefully time continues to fly. I still haven't planned out every detail of her visit, but we are going to China for Thanksgiving. The trip is booked and paid! Claire's friend, Madison and her family will be going with us as well and some others from the base. I am so excited. I am not a huge lover of pearls, but I think I'll be picking myself up some pearls (just because I can) and other treasures too. Of course, I'll be checking out that Great Wall too. So excited.
I guess that gives you the gist of what is to come in the weeks ahead. Now for some lovin on my kiddos. Check them out. So darn cute. My sister Lisa bought Mya this outfit as part of her birthday present and I came across one in Claire's size, so I swept it up. Check out my Halloween/fall decor behind. So cute. My Mom sent that Halloween tree last week. Mya loves her little job of turning on the pumpkin and "Christmas tree" (as they lovingly refer to it) each day.  Cute. Cute. Cute.

I did find outfits. Hopefully they arrive in time. I have been looking for some super cute boots that I can wear over my jeans for me, but no such luck yet. THat may be this weekend's task :) I do miss shopping in actual stores. I wish I were going to AZ too. So much fun. Have a great time. We are dying to know as well. I've been checking out some super cute girlie stuff, so I am keeping my fingers crossed ;) We could have five girls dressed alike! How adorable would that be ;)

A post

You wanted it, you asked for it, so here it is. A post. Hopefully this post will satisfy all your desires. I am not writing about the apple of my eye, Claire, but of the other apple of my eye--reality tv. I love it! Right now I am getting my fill of Big Brother. I have even lured Chris into my dark place. He mostly watched last season because Dick was such a jerk, but Chris is hooked. He's a dedicated viewer once again this season. Sadly, he was a fan of Matty who was kicked off a few weeks ago. I don't think I have a favorite. I find them all to be so obnoxious, yet I watch. Go figure. I obviously need some more excitement in my life. Girls who wear butt showing shorts, screaming matches, verbal abuse, crazy eyes, back stabbing, boys running around in their colored tighty whiteys (if tighty whiteys are colored, are they still called tighty whiteys?)---all in one episode! It is a gold mine. My second can't miss show is Housewives of Orange County or New York City. I really

2 weeks...

As I write this, my house is being cleaned and not by me. This is my favorite day of the week. There is nothing like going home to a clean house and smelling the bleach to know it is germ free as well. This is my second good day in a row! I took the day off yesterday. Claire didn't have school due to Fasching (German equivalent of Halloween--minus the door to door trick or treating), so I gave Mya the option of hanging out with us as well. She took some convincing, but later said she had a great day. I must admit that I was focused on giving my back a much needed break, so my morning consisted of napping and laying on the couch. Not my best parenting in action, but it did wonders for the rest of the day. We met Chris for lunch, then returned home to enjoy the sunshine before the girls' swimming lessons. It was in the 50's yesterday, absolutely gorgeous! It really is hard to believe that we made it through the entire winter with no snow. I think it snowed possibly 2 days, b

4 months

We are potentially down to our last four months in Korea. I say "potentially" because it rests solely on where we are going. If we are heading back to the States, we will most likely be leaving early June so that we can enjoy a full summer with family and have time to get settled before Claire begins school. We caught wind today of what could be our next assignment. Although it is far from official word, all of a sudden my tummy is filled with butterflies. I had the privilege of teaching a little first grade girl who was one of a set of quadruplets. They (she and her sisters) are the most delightful little girls. They are well behaved and truly beautiful inside and out. Anyway, their family was due to PCS (military move) in December. I teased her that I was going to follow her and live down the road. While they were house hunting, I continually asked if there was a neighboring house for me. She'd laugh and giggle, not really sure if I was serious or not. Her Mom thought
