Claire's Interview

I saw this on a blog this morning. I've done a couple other interviews with Claire before, but never posted them. I really should have. They are such a cute idea.

1.    1. What does Mommy always say to you?
"h“help mya"

2. What makes Mommy happy?
"Help mya clean up her toys"

3. What makes Mommy sad?
"Being disrespectful"

4. How does Mommy make you laugh?
"tickle"

5. What was Mommy like as a child?
"Good girl"--you bet!

6. How old is Mommy?
"45!"--i'd like to think this is because i am so mature...

7. How tall is Mommy?
"97" hmmm.

8. What is Mommy's favorite thing to do?
"Play with me and the magnatiles"---yep!

9. What does Mommy do when you're not around?
"Get dressed"---I wish. I never have privacy ;)

10. If Mommy becomes famous what would it be for?
"A rockstar"--she knows I can play a pretty mean air guitar and my singing rocks!

11. What is Mommy really good at?
"Folding the sheets and the blanket"--glad I am good at it, but boy, i dislike this job!

12. What is Mommy not good at?
"nothing"--that's my girl ;)

13. What does Mommy do for her job?
"Teach the kids and make money for us so you can buy us stuff"--she's regurgitating this familiar message...

14. What is Mommy's favorite food?
"Korean chicken"--yummy!

15. What makes you proud of Mommy?
"driving"--probably because she knows I am so good at it, especially in Korea where rules of the road are simply suggestions!

16. If Mommy were a princess, who would she be?
"Snow White"

17. What do you and Mommy do together?
"Decorate the whole house for Christmas."

18. How are you and Mommy the same?
"We both are going to get tall."--well, i couldn't bear to break the news to her. this is our message to her daily as to why she needs to eat. we use ourselves as examples. filling her in on the idea that i may not grow any taller will totally blow my cover.

19. How are you and Mommy different?
"You have a more bigger face."--um, yeah.

20. How do you know Mommy loves you?
"Give me hugs and kisses."

21. Where is Mommy's favorite place to go?
"Commissary, oh no, no. China."--She's right. I'd much rather go to China than the commissary. I dislike grocery shopping. I look forward to returning to the States and having groceries delivered to my door once again ;) If only the delivery dude would put them away too.

I know, right?! So funny. I thought she'd say, "eat your food." That seems a frequent directive at our house...

A post

You wanted it, you asked for it, so here it is. A post. Hopefully this post will satisfy all your desires. I am not writing about the apple of my eye, Claire, but of the other apple of my eye--reality tv. I love it! Right now I am getting my fill of Big Brother. I have even lured Chris into my dark place. He mostly watched last season because Dick was such a jerk, but Chris is hooked. He's a dedicated viewer once again this season. Sadly, he was a fan of Matty who was kicked off a few weeks ago. I don't think I have a favorite. I find them all to be so obnoxious, yet I watch. Go figure. I obviously need some more excitement in my life. Girls who wear butt showing shorts, screaming matches, verbal abuse, crazy eyes, back stabbing, boys running around in their colored tighty whiteys (if tighty whiteys are colored, are they still called tighty whiteys?)---all in one episode! It is a gold mine. My second can't miss show is Housewives of Orange County or New York City. I really

Progress

I used to be prompt about scrapbooking in Claire's album. After seeing my sister's pictures piled up three children later, I was determined not to have the same fate. I am sure it is difficult for some of you to believe, but since Claire has been born, my free time has been limited. Really, it has. So, our pictures are finding their way into piles too--5 to be exact. However, I am thrilled to say that I finished (ok, they aren't completely finished, but nearly. I only have journaling to do.) six pages. Yes, that's right, I said SIX!! It was a major accomplishment. Here they are for your viewing pleasure. Only 5 more months left to get through....any volunteers? Jessica???

Claire, Mya and the NEWS

Chris and I had this elaborate plan on how we were going to share the news with our girls. I ordered adorable shirts, which took forever to get here. They were supposed to ship Oct. 4, but didn't. I am not a patient soul at all. I love to share good news and spread the excitement. We went to a German doctor last week for a gender reveal ultrasound. He was 99% certain of his selection. Claire and I began looking at clothes online. She asked questions about why we were looking at baby clothing, but thankfully, my sister has a little guy and a baby girl who is due in December. They are my perfect excuses for all things baby! Claire asked nothing more and began pointing out things we should buy Jackson or the new baby girl. Our weekends typically involve partaking in a local event or just relaxing, which means a trip to the KMCC Mall. Saturday we went shopping or at least looking. Once again, the girls became excited, choosing items for Jackson or the new baby girl. I decided I cou
