Constant Beginnings

On our way to watch some dolphins...sadly, none in sight! Awwww, beautiful. It was so amazing to see the beautifuly, clear blue waters against the blue, nearly cloudless sky.  Take me back!! Much of the coastline is rocky with cliffs. Such love... Daddy and his girls. So precious. My Clairey beary and I. Love this girl. My loves. The love I feel for these kiddos is truly indescribable. THey truly are my everything. Yep, check out Mya's mouth---GUM. Courtesy of her generous big sister. Oiy! Thankfully it didn't last long. One exhausted kiddo. She actually fell asleep sitting up in the midst of enjoying her snack.  And on the other bed, Claire. Clearly enjoying her week in paradise!  Easter has since past, but I am a bit behind. Chris went out celebrating with friends last night, while I held towels for one vomitting almost 2 year old. I definitely drew the short straw. Wow, 34. It seems like only yesterday we were celebrating your 21st--or should I say you were celebrating followed by a drunken stop at my dorm room. Who'd have guessed 13 years later, we'd be where we are? We've had quite a ride, moving from a wicked awesome bmx bike to a ride pimped out with spinners that don't spin; living life 4 hours apart as a newly married couple to a life separated by an ocean to finally living together an ocean beyond our comfort; life as a couple to life as a family with 2 beautiful children; life as an associates degree holder to life with an MBA. We are truly blessed. You are an amazing Daddy. The girls love you like no other.  All that you do and all that you are, makes us forever proud. You have come so far and achieved so much, we look forward to continuing the ride along side you. We look forward to pushing you, encouraging you, and cheering for you each and everyday. We love you! Our final days in Guam were spent at the beach, canoing, swimming, an attempt at a dolphin watching excursion turned snorkeling fun, and a polynesian dinner show. While on the island, we spotted many hermit crabs, birds (which Mya adorably chased--I felt like we had been depriving her living in Korea as there really aren't a whole lot of cute little birds to chase here), and tiny lizards. The girls were captivated each time we saw them on sidewalk, ceilings or anywhere else they roamed. A little hermit crab. Mya keeping close tabs on that little crab. Claire being buried alive! Funny story...my Mom has all sorts of  decor/figurines, etc. in their house. When we were visiting last summer, Mya disappeared.  I hate coconut, but it was fun seeing they crack these babies open and put straws inside to drink the milk. They actually used a machety. Until this trip, I had never seen an actual coconut growing on a tree. It was pretty neat as they were all over as were macadamia nuts and mangos.  Waiting for our food. My friend suggested we try the foodstand with the longest line. She claimed they were the best and she was right!   We dined on barbeque, chicken, corn, rice, pancit and banana lumpia. It was all delicious. Our girls especially loved the pancit, lumpia and chicken. We shared one meal, ate alot of food and paid only $12. Pretty great deal. On Wednesday night we ventured to the Chamorro Village. It was filled with vendors selling arts/crafts type products, food and live music with dancing. It was a busy, and fun place. Guam is full of trendy little shops and restaurants. Here is Planet Hollywood, but they also have Hooters, California Pizza Kitchen, Friday's, and Chili's. The shops reminded me alot of Vegas--Louis Vuiton, Chanel, etc. This was happy little Mya BEFORE we entered the dark tunnel of the aquarium. She  loved seeing the fish in the gigantic tank. Claire outside the aquarium. It would have been so much easier if they'd have cooperated and stood side by side ;) A turtle. Mya cuteness. Claire cuteness. Again, I am mesmerized by those eyes. Gorgeous. This is Mya inside the aquarium. THis is also the expression that she wore throughout her visit. Ha. I think the idea of being surrounded by water/fish kind of freaked her out (it was a tunnel). This was one huge fish. I am not sure how old it is, but he looked big and nasty. I love that Claire is finally of the age that she can satisfy my goofy requests. HELP!! She's being eaten by a shar...
